44 Magee Avenue, Rochester, NY 14613
Conveniently located in northwest Rochester’s historic Maplewood Neighborhood, Reen’s is a comfortable homey alternative to a hotel. It’s like crashing with your favorite aunt. Easy access to expressways means it’s less than twenty minutes from anywhere.
The Murphy family was the first to live here in 1910. Rose, Irene and Calissa, three of the six Murphy children, lovingly cared for their home for sixty years. The Julians and the Clarks were residents in the 1970s and 1980s and the Saltrellis have been here since 1989.
There are two porches, two sitting rooms with fireplaces and beamed ceilings, two oak staircases, leaded windows, hardwood floors, two original bathrooms with footed tubs, unpainted oak woodwork galore and a stained glass window.
Hostess Reen (Irene) Zaremski-Saltrelli opened Reen’s in 2004.
Let me fuss over you
Reen likes to send her guests out to take on the world with a full stomach. Freshly brewed coffee, an array of teas, juice, fresh fruit and a hot entree are served every morning when YOU want it.
You may find yourself starting a warm summer’s day breakfasting al fresco on peach/orange french toast on the front porch. A cold winter’s morning may start with pumpkin/pecan waffles in the dining room or by a cozy fire in the living room.
You are welcome to invite guests to join you for breakfast ($10 each).
